A cruel sort of punishment often used by naval captains upon out-of-line sailors. E.g. "Get yer scurvy hunk a barnacles yonder less you want to suffer te CIRCLE OF FIFTHS!"

To me, it sounds like either a prestigious order known only the best of the best, or a religious cult of some sort. For instance, A: "I do say kind sir, you should join me and my brethren in The Circle of Fifths," or, B: "Bow down to the almighty Circle of Fifths!!...not who wants Kool-Aid?"

By no means do I dare suggest that my idea surpasses that of the infamous Neobrawnist ;)
